Roadbooks for big enduros

Our Roadbooks for big enduros are primarily adressed to people riding motorcycles with more than 600 cubic centimetres. However, sportenduro riders who want to enjoy the scenery on a relaxed offroad trip will also enjoy them. In addition, focusing on the easier sections the trips are also suited for offroad beginner with a light motorbikes.

At various spots we provide you with alternatives routes so you can choose between the easy and more difficult track. Starting and end point is the village Roccastrada in the province of Grosseto. Each Roadbook covers a distance between 160 or 200 km. About one third of the tour will lead you over asphalt roads which are winding little side streets. .

Roadbook 1

On a loop to the north-east of Roccastrada Roadbook 3 provides a good overview about the regional variety of the Maremma`s landscape. During the first third this Roadbook leads you mainly through extensive chestnut and oaken forests, in the middle section it touches the famous wine-growing district of Montalcino and finally it carries you back into the lonesome mountain forest north of Roccastrada.

This Roadbook contains constant changes of asphalt segments, easy dirt roads and some more demanding passages.
Ambitious drivers are free to try various possibilities in more difficult passages, but there is always simply alternative variations.

Touristische Highlights: Stopover for a bath in hot sulphur springs, the famous wine town Montalcino as well as various scenic mountain villages.

Riding Hightlights: Strada Biancas with marvellous views of the famous wine town Montalcino, as well as various scenic mountain villages,longer easy uphill and an downhill passages, several technically demanding alternative sections which require driving talent with a big enduro like LC8 or BWM Adventure.

Roadbook 2

Roadbook 2 leads through the mountain regions northwest of Roccastrada.

On the first part of the Roadbooks you will almost permanently stay on forest dirt roads until you reach the beautiful located mountain village of Chiusdino with it’s marvellous panorama. Afterwards you pass the 800 year-old famous church San Galgano from where you continue southwest to the medieval mountain village of Montieri.

After a longer segment on „Strada Biancas“ with numerous panoramic views over the surrounding hills you will reach the historical town Massa Marittima. Leading through a scenic river valley with some easy crossings it goes back in direction of Agriturismo Bettarello. Shortly before end of the Roadbook ambitious enduro riders are free to tests their skills on to the technically most demanding passage. This optional stony section consist of deep mud most time of the year.

Touristy highlights: the historically hilltown Massa Marittima, some spectacularly situated places and contemplative mountain villages, like Chisudino, Montieri and Montemassi, marvellous panoramic looks

Riding highlights: 25-km-long dirt road passage through deep mountain forest, scenic slopes through river valleys, asphalt segments with countless curves.

Roadbook 3

The motto of this tour for big enduros is „short and crisp“. You will make a 120 km long double loop around Roccastrada. On this route the difficult alternative sections should only be taken by those riders who feel already comfortable and safe with the stony and steep ground of this area.

Whether one comes on in the easy or heavy variant: Hold your camera tight during this driving day! You will expect numerous postcard motives along the way. The first part of the Roadbook leads you in a southwesterly direction and offers breathtaking views of the picturesque mountain village Sticciano. You will continue on broad forest pistes through extensive woodland.

Have a rest at the cosy Osteria in the little quaint village Montorsaio. From here an easy slope heading west will bring you back to steep hills near Roccastrada where you will have the choice to exit or continue the roadbook.

From here one passes on little minor roads along the Strada Del Vino , the eastern part of the wine areas of the Monteregio di Massa Marittima. The second part of the Roadbbok climbs the high hills of the Colline Metallifere northwest of Roccastrada on broad forest pistes and farm roads. The historical village Tatti is worth a stop before the steep ascend back down to the valley. A short but demanding offroad section with a little river crossing in a romantic piece of woodland lines up before you return to Bettarello
